Endorsements in GA Senate Races
Georgia has two US Senate races in the presidential election this year. The Peach State is one of the thirty-three Class II seats of the Senate being contested in the regular election. Incumbent Republican Senator David Perdue is running for his re-election and second six-year term. The other race is the special election to finish the two-year remaining term following a resignation of US Senator Johnny Isakson. Appointed Senator Kelly Loeffler, a wealthy businesswoman, is running in the special election. Under Georgia’s law, the special general election is a jungle primary election on the same day as the regularly scheduled US Senate election for the Class II seat currently held by Perdue. Regardless of the parties, the top two finishers will advance to the run-off election that will be held on 5 Jan 2021 if no candidate receives a majority (more than 50%) of the vote.
I, Marian (D-GA), have announced my official endorsements of the candidates in both races today:
Class II (Perdue): I recently found out that my first choice of former US President Jimmy Carter’s grandson and 2014 Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Jason Carter, is not running in either race. He has endorsed Teresa Tomlinson over two other high-profile candidates (Jon Ossoff and Sarah Riggs Amico) taking on Perdue in this race. Like myself, Jason and Teresa are the moderates, not too far to the left wing.
Ossoff is the all-time worst Hollywood-elite candidate ever with his political self-ambitions like 2018 Democratic gubernatorial nominee and corrupted politician Stacey Abrams. YIKES! He blew 30 millions in laughter when he lost to Republican Karen Handel in the run-off special election for Georgia’s 6th congressional district in 2017. According to the FEC records, he is leading all Democratic candidates with nearly $1.5 millions cash on hand within this race for Perdue’s seat; however, he is still outraised by Perdue in laughter! Perdue has nearly $8 millions cash on hand that is more than FIVE times than Ossoff’s COH in laughter! Ossoff is such a LOSER!!!!!
I am deeply troubled by Riggs Amico’s bad reputation and history of her business bankruptcy issues. Her trucking company was sued by the former African-American employees for the sexual harassment, racial discrimination and hostile work environment. WHEW! Also, don’t forget that Riggs Amico has remained in connection with Abrams. YIKES!
Therefore, I am joining Jason to endorse Teresa and planning to vote for her in the primary election this year. I have nothing against Perdue but I support Teresa because we are in common on many issues such as gun control, environment, climate change, women’s rights and affordable healthcare with Medicare option. While Teresa had started running in the race last year, she was originally my second choice in case if Jason would not run in this race. After Jason declines to run the Senate bid, Teresa is now my first choice in both primary and general elections for Georgia’s Class II seat. Perdue is my second choice in the general election as I cannot, in good conscience, support either Ossoff or Riggs Amico.
Special Election (Loeffler): In the wake of two incidents involving the special election last week, I have decided to endorse incumbent appointed Senator Kelly Loeffler, who became the first woman ever from Georgia to serve in the US Senate longer than one day. She is also the first Republican woman ever from the Peach State to serve in the US Senate. The Senate Republican Caucus still struggles to catch up with the Senate Democratic Caucus that has the 17 women, comparing to the Republican side’s only 9 women including Loeffler. I strongly believe that the US Congress needs more Republican women with high morals, integrity and decency. Kelly and I don’t agree on some issues but we are in common on the national security, lowering taxes and immigration issues. I assure that she is very professional with her integrity and decency since she has been the business executive for years.
US Congressman Doug Collins (GA-09), a strong ally of US President Donald Trump, has a lot of bad tempers that are not good for the Senator role. Yikes! He has been very bitter that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp defied President Trump’s preferred pick of Collins and chose Kelly to be appointed to Isakson’s old seat. Upon Kemp’s announcement of the appointment to Isakson’s seat, Kelly had received the congratulatory or positive reactions from the fellow congressional members: US Senators Johnny Isakson and David Perdue and US congressmen Buddy Carter (GA-01), Rob Woodall (GA-07), Austin Scott (GA-08, my district), Jody Hice (GA-10), Barry Loudermilk (GA-11), Rick Allen (GA-12) and Tom Graves (GA-14). The two missing Republican US congressmen were Collins and Drew Ferguson (GA-03). That is how I have suspected why Doug has never said any single word about Kelly. Like Abrams and Ossoff, Doug Collins is so selfish about his own political career and should be very embarrassed of himself! YUCK!
When Reverend Raphael Warnock entered this race in a big surprise, he is quickly backed by the several national Democrats including Stacey Abrams. I am extremely disappointed in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) for endorsing Warnock so quickly right after Abrams’ announcement of endorsement. Like I have pledged to oppose ALL of DSCC’s sickest-nepotistic handpicks in protest, I strongly OPPOSE Warnock in both primary and run-off races! As a reminder, this special election is a jungle primary with all parties. The special election is very competitive among several candidates of all parties, so DSCC and Abrams’ endorsements are NOT guaranteed to make any difference. Matt Lieberman, a son of former Democratic US Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, is one of the several candidates running in the race. That is why it is NOT fair to Matt or any other Democratic candidate. SHAME on DSCC! SICKO!
Putting my party aside, I have, in good conscience, decided to endorse Kelly Loeffler over all other candidates in this special election for two main reasons:
- Lacks of the Republican women with high integrity, decency and empower in the US Congress
- Raphael Warnock is shamefully endorsed by DSCC and Georgia’s all-time worst corrupted politician Stacey Abrams over Matt Lieberman and other Democratic candidates in the special election. GROSS!
To avoid a potential run-off race, I definitely plan to cast my vote for Kelly to ensure that she must receive more than 50% of the vote in the special election this November. Otherwise, if Kelly doesn’t advance to the runoff race, Matt Lieberman and any other candidate except Raphael Warnock are my second and third choices respectively. As my pledge, I will NEVER vote for any of DSCC’s disgraceful nepotistic handpicks, period. F$&K DSCC OFF!
I wish my endorsed candidates, Teresa Tomlinson and Kelly Loeffler, the Best Luck in their respective Senate races! Onward!
